Home History Working On

In 2004 we moved the truck from the driveway and barn into the basement of my computer shop. Lots of sanding, welding and repairs at this point on the cab. Floor was pretty well welded up at this point. Back wall below window was cut out and new metal welded in. The roof line was still hacked in this photo, but the sawhorses survived! Put the doors back on for alignment. Had to drill out all the mounting holes and rethread them. At this point the doors still had rot-thru at their bottoms. At least we were out of the weather and had more than just a torpedo heater in a wood frame barn.

This shows the '69 Judge rear end from the front. Original tranny mount still there. I ground off the coil mounts, purchased a number of new leaves (most of the top ones were cracked and bought new bolts from Dennis Miller. Boxed part of the frame to mount the shocks. It should still ride like a pickup! (at least in the back). I had ground and partially blasted and painted the frame at this point.

Looking down on the rear end. You can see those "c"-beams welded on top of the frame.
